St. Louis best 12 piece Salsa Band for 15 years.

Winners of the 2006 KDHX Best Latin Band Critics choice and Fan Selection category. El Caribe Tropical is an 11-12 piece Latin orchestra based in St. Louis, MO. The band was founded in 1990 and quickly filled a void in the St. Louis Salsa scene for Live Latin Music. El Caribe Tropical has played at many major venues in the St. Louis area including Casaloma Ballroom, The Sheldon concert hall, Grand Center, Club Viva, and numerous outdoor festivals (St. Louis Art Fair, Missouri History Museum, Clayton's Parties at the Park, Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival, Fiesta in Florissant, Mount Pleasant Winery, etc). El Caribe Tropical plays a wide variety of tropical, Caribbean and South American Latin rhythms such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Cha-Cha, and also has an extensive Latin Jazz repertoire.
