Are you an insect lover? Then The Butterfly House should definitely be on your list of attractions to visit, whether you are a St. Louis native or are just planning on traveling tothe area in the near future.
The Butterfly House is a public natural habitat that is dedicated to the education of butterflies. The construction of The Butterfly House began in June of 1997, and doors opened September the following year. Since then it has become a very popular attraction in St. Louis, offering various events and courses so you have the opportunity to learn more about butterflies and many of the other invertebrates in our world.
You can even get a membership to The Butterfly House, after which you will be able to get special discounts at the gift shop, be notified when events are taking place, and overall help to realize the mission set forth by Henry Shaw, creator of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
