The City Museum of St. Louis is one of the most renowned attractions, definitely worth a visit. The museum is housed in the 600,000 square-foot former International Shoe Company, and is, in their own words, “An eclectic mixture of children’s playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of unique, foundobjects. The brainchild of internationally acclaimed artist Bob Cassilly, a classically trained sculptor and serial entrepreneur, the museum opened for visitors in 1997 to the riotous approval of young and old alike.”

Admission fees are very reasonable, and there is also the opportunity to gain a membership, to which all plans include unlimited visits in January and September for up to five people per day, 10% discount in Museum Gift Shop, 10% discount on classes atCity Museum Glass Studio, admission to members-only events, and 10% discount oneveryday circus classes.

They are always offering new attractions, and as of today a few of the most popular includes the Enchanted Caves, MonstroCity, World Aquarium and Toddler Town. There is also Art City, where you are able to create your own work of art, or take a step back and watch the professionals do it. They will demonstrate their craft right in front of your eyes and demonstrate turning molten glass into unique and beautiful sculptures.

The City Museum is a VERY unique establishment in the St Louis area. Filled with tunnels tubes and other random objects to climb through(and on), this is a good place to go at least once. Take a group of friends (adult friendly, haha), and even bring the kids. Everyone should enjoy it.

The Good Great place to take kids
The Bad a bit pricey
